WaldoLydeker, our present culture needs to calm their simple little heads down and grow up.

Alas, in our present PC culture, would Baba Looey be left alone or would Hanna-Barbera be vilified? Witness the backlash over Apu on "The Simpsons."

BrainyKestrel153
Quick draw also played a masked hero that thwarted his adversaries with his guitar (KABONG!) His alter ego "El Kabong".

Flanker814
Radakyl, "Si, señor Kweeksdraw".

NimbleCavalier81232
Quick Draw would say to his sidekick," I'll do the thinin around here ( thinking ).

Misstootie
Reminds me of the premise of Hong Kong Phooey. His sidekick 🐈 cat, Spot would get him out of jams every time. Loved that cartoon and Scatman Crothers!! Scatman was great in The Shining, too!

I had a stuffed animal of Baba Looey when I was little.

GingerQ
Watch the show all the time as a kid growing up in the 50s and 60s. I didn’t realize until right now that the name Baba Looey might have come from Desi Arnez’ singing Baba-lou on the “I Love Lucy” show. That was the most popular TV show at the time that this cartoon came out

SevenAngels777
Since I was a kid my Mom has called me Baba Looey. it's my Nick name.

Burros are very smart and very strong. Quick Draw was lucky to have him. I had one and he had all the moves and sounds (hee-haw) and was one of the most loving animals I ever had.
