wandangel27, I feel for you. I have been diagnosed with fibro but I have multiple sclerosis and I often don't even mention the fibro because to me it seems as though they all fall into such a similar category. I spent almost my whole life going to head doctors when what I needed was a good MD.

The fibromyalgia information is new to me also. I’ve been suffering for about 30 years now. If Lady Gaga can accomplish all that she has with FMS, there’s hope for me and everyone else who suffers from this affliction.

When I was in a focus group run by a doctor through my health insurance there was a 20-something young lady who was diagnosed with it who had tried to commit suicide because the pain was so awful. There have been times I came close to feeling that way. The sad part is that some doctors think of it as a mental issue rather than a physical one. And like you, I would never wish this on my worst enemy. I go for 3-4 days at a time with no sleep. Doctors have tried numerous prescription pain meds for me as well as meds that are for other diseases like epilepsy but nothing has worked or I am allergic to them or have horrible side effects from them.

Also, alot of my hair fell out with the so called, best med, they use for Fibromyalgia. I can’t remember the name of it now. I took it early on and have been suffering with this and other chronic pain conditions for yrs.
