On the U.S. TV sitcom "Gilligan's Island," what was the name of the boat the people were shipwrecked on?
Correct answer: S.S. Minnow
Daybonn
We used to dock a boat in a marina on Lake Erie. One weekend Bob Denver, who played Gilligan, came to to a promotion of a new resort on one of the islands. Since no self respecting boater could possibly miss their chance to see Gilligan off we went to see him. We had to go by boat, as there were no ferries to that island. Then we had to either walk two miles or jump into the back of an open bed truck for the rest of the trip to the new resort. Despite the difficulties of the journey to see Gilligan the line of people waiting to see him wrapped all around the building and extended down the parking lot. Even all of those years after the show ended Bob Denver’s fans loved him. 💕

dmcloren, I agree with that ! todays TV shows are sick, twisted, and polluted with too many commercials. Time to go back in time and stay there for the most part.

Vixen, they did try to fix the Minnow, but unfortunately the glue didn't hold. Several rafts were attempted, but they didn't work out. In one episode it was because everyone was trying to take as much gold with rhem as possible .
