well I never went there I remember hearing the song on wor radio. This, despite the fact that we lived in Pennsylvania. Here's what we remember. Palisades amusement park swings all day and after Dark. Ride the coaster get cool in the waves in the pool you'll have fun so come on over.

I lived in Cliffside Park and attended Holy Angels Academy in Fort Lee. Enjoyed the park especially when a magician supposedly decapitated my younger brother!🤩. Then horror of horrors: they razed the Academy to build high-rise apartments and destroyed PAP.

WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS CLOSE AMUSEMENT PARKS? when we went back to NY Coney Island was closed. all that was left was boardwalk. We used to have such fun there.

Palisades Amusement park had some really unique rides that you NEVER see in parks anymore, like a steeplechase carousel where you raced your horse against 7 others over a winding course. I remember going there as a young kid in the early 1960's.
