I was in 5th std, in a small city called Mangalore in India. There were Thousands from my city who were working in Kuwait. Middle of the school year we had many who had joined our school. For years we heard stories of the gulf war.

I was in boot camp when this happened. By the time I got all my training done (including AIT) it was over. Pretty hectic time but the US did the right thing with this one.

Hugo, the ensuing unrest & violence after killing Saddam Hussein, has proved that unless you understand politics in the middle east there will never be peace, unfortunately again the Americans & the British used the heavy handed approach..

wharfrat57, no they didn't as there's constant ongoing unrest, the inability to keep the various tribes from constant infighting which despite his awful reputation Saddam Hussein managed to keep things politically from going off the rails..
