Elton released the album Empty Sky in 1969. It's a good album, but rare in the US. I had a copy that I had gotten by accident.

Went to his farewell yellow brick road concert absolutely fabulous 3 great hours he has the best band so much talent. He can still belt out his songs like he is 20.

Love his music, piano playing, and singing. So very talented. Bernie also. What a great duo. On a show they said each did their own part in different rooms at different times. Bernie did lyrics first and Elton would write the music. Amazing!

I'm hoping his Glasgow concerts don't get moved again, they've already been changed to next year. This will be the only time I will ever get to see him live and it would break my heart if anything stopped me going. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues is one of my favourites, I can remember being in a wee bistro near Le Place de la Concorde, having dinner in 1986, when I heard it for the first time, WOW, we were indeed rolling like thunder under the covers that night.

The queen knighted him in 1998, so I guess after that he never performed in the mornings or afternoons. 😵‍💫

Great singer and musician. But, I like Sir Paul McCartney music and singing better.
