there are multiple "sacred" animals in ancient Egypt. cats, dogs, alligators, camels, snakes. many had places in the ancient Egyptian mythos. the question is a misnomer. implying that the Egyptians only had one sacred animal, when they had many. a better way to ask the question would be: which of these animals was most revered by ancient Egyptian culture?

Player #4717672, Not my cats. especially Chaz. I rescued him from a kill shelter. He was scheduled to be euthanized in less than 24 hours. I was warned that he didn't really like people and would never be a lap cat. I have been a social worker for many yrs and have worked with abused children. I worked with Chaz, as I would work with an abused child. Chaz is strictly a 1 cat person, but he is a lap cat, loves to cuddle. I have gone through a lot, the last few yrs and Chad seems to instinctively know when he would be a comfort. He gas saved me, just as much as I saved him.
