LoriB857, nope. A mutagen just means something that causes mutations to DNA, which is a LONG way from cancer. Genetic mutations are not always bad, most of them are actually benign. They're the reason people have different skin and eye colors, curly hair vs straight, freckles, etc. A carcinogen, on the other hand, is a very well known term (even outside of scientific circles) that literally just means a cancer causing agent.

I recently watched a program about additives they put in food, there’s one that’s put in crisps, they said the additive is basically gunpowder that causes cancer. I am also a survivor
