sillybee, The myth that Harold was shot in the eye comes from the Bayeux Tapestry. Firstly there is a man holding an arrow near the word " Harold": however a detailed study shows the arrow is partly unravelled and the stitch holes carry on past his head. The dismembered body at his feet is more probably Harold.
