KookyOrangutan5005, Cymbals are circular, curved brass disks.
They can have Leather loops and be clashed together by hand, or fitted to a stand and operated by a foot pedal. A single cymbal can be struck with a drumstick.
Rock band drumkits always have at least one cymbal, I'm sure you've seen them.

KookyOrangutan5005
I thought they were called cymbals. 😳 love their sound, now I want to learn how to use them and get a pair!!💕

Sonicgirl,
thanks for the info

Apparently the first use of Castanets were for hunting in the Pyrenees Mountains, They made a very similar sound to Goats hooves on the Rocks, thus making it easy to catch or kill wolves who could hear the clicking of the Castanets.
