What club is that? Having a state capital named after you. In a class all by himself is James Monroe who had a foreign country name its capital after him, Liberia. And on an even higher plane is George Washington, who had his country's capital city named after him and is the only President that even has a state named after him. The Father of his country, indeed.

GAMA17, The capital used to be St. Charles (near St. Louis ). They moved the capital to be more center of the state.
