Correct answer: 1

I remember delivering to Aer Lingus at Heathrow many years ago when I heard a thunderous noise. I then saw this beautiful machine go by me as it took off and the sound made my internal organs shake. I'll never forget that sight. Such a shame that it now languishes in a museum.

One of my biggest regrets is never getting the opportunity to fly in it.

wonder why "they" would go backwards and ground such a technologically advanced craft over an accident that was not related to craft failure rather to external objects affecting the operation of the craft - damn shame!

Concordè was an awesome plane and such a shame it was retired. Virgin Airways offered to continue flying it but BA's selfishness stopped them.

Just saw this accident on the show Air Disasters. Got the question wrong cause there was a similar accident in Asia but wasn t fatal. Concorde was not economical with fuel prices climbing and only super rich could afford a ticket.

RankLynx65903, no, mate. The French would never have issued an air-worthy certificate. Branson knew this. It was a publicity stunt. Virgin cashed in on the demise of this fabulous bird.

There's a Concorde at Filton in Bristol. Also there was a stripped out one at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Somerset. I also did a courier flight to New York once. Used to suffer with anxiety so it was no fun. Claustrophobic. Whatever it was indeed a wonder of Anglo-French engineering.
