St Patrick was actually Welsh. For the Americans on here, that's NOT English! We're a different country, to the left of the island. The Welsh and Scottish are the remaining Celts who didn't let the Saxons or Norman's put them down. They resisted and as a consequence, were never beaten. Even the Romans gave us trying to conquer the Welsh.

PurpleSloth20994, Celts is used to describe Welsh, Cornish, and Scots but the Scots are actually Picts from Ireland. Celts originated in mainland Europe and were driven over by the Romans.
