Which part of the "tulip" plant is exported from the Netherlands?

There is a Tulip festival in Ottawa, Canada. Tulips are sent from The Netherlands every year since WWII when Canadians sheltered the future Queen Juliana.

I live in Michigan and have been to Holland numerous times. If you want to see the beautiful tulips, go the week BEFORE the Tulip Festival. They are usually done blooming by the date of the festival. Locals call it the Stem Festival!

When I plant bulbs the rabbits enjoy them. They like the bulbs as much as I like the flowers!

In Albany NY, every spring we have a beautiful tulip festival. One of my favorite flowers.

Before " pork bellies" and everything else that is traded with stock market there was Tulips. In essence the buying and trading of tulips and tulip futures was the beginning of the market we have today.

ChicoMan9718, I was going to mention Ottawa's tulip festival as well. It's alleged to be the largest in the world and is so beautiful. Years ago I made my living doing silk painting and was commissioned by the City to make 100 silk scarves with a design of 3 tulips in the city colours - then purple, royal blue and red - which were given as gifts to visiting dignitaries from a city in the Netherlands which was twinned with Ottawa that year.

Player #7929563, I had that issue with rabbits and squirrels until I planted my bulbs 1 foot down. They come up later but at least they come up! Sometimes the critters eat the leaves though.

ChicoMan9718, Took my wife there one year. The day before we arrived, there was a surprise frost. Petals everywhere, only the stems standing. At least they had postcards for sale.

Apparently in Kent , that's in England, It Produces the second Largest exports in the World. Funnily enough Kent even exports the the Netherlands, especially the Clog Festival in April in Harlem and Zandfort .
