Triviaddict, correction they ‘loved’ the sound & brought it back to the US which sadly would recognise the talents they had at home well enough. Even good Jimi Hendrix had to leave the US & venture to the UK to be well loved. Plagiarism is one thing & with that I do not agree but when a sounds or artistic expression is so good it becomes a movement well in my opinion that’s the ultimate flattery.

I've seen them live twice, and I've never seen so much energy in any one person as in Mick Jagger when he's performing. Incredible entertainers and musicians!

Pretty sure this song makes light of slavery - at least in one verse which has been removed in some versions. I don't think slavery is something to sing and dance about.

And now they have been forced to drop it from their live set list, due to "political correctness" and public outcry.

kinnikat, I just googled it: yes it's about slavery but it's also about so much more ugly stuff too! I have a whole different view of it now & it's not a good view! Quite frankly, I'm shocked! 😲
