James Garner spoke at my college graduation (OU 1994). A great speech. He had dropped out of Norman High, so he said it was the only graduation he had ever been to!

Player 2929570 - the real details of the non-success of the story were too unpleasant for a Hollywood movie. Two Swedish soldiers made it right home. All the other few who actually escaped were recaptured. Hitler wanted a huge number of prisoners killed when he heard about it. In the end 50 prisoners were killed as punishment. Very sad story. Morgan Freeman is doing a TV program on escapes and that one just came up.
