I live on the Isle of Man. Normal life doesn’t come to a standstill although many locals do take time off work to enjoy the racing.

Dave Wheeldon ll, Been to the IOM quite a few times. 1994 was my last. Loved it, but never looked forward to the ferry crossing from Liverpool, especially in rough weather.

So do the inhabitants of the island leave for parts unknown until the event is over or just lock themselves in their homes and watch reruns of Gilligans Island?
