To which organ does the term "hepatic" refer?
Correct answer: Liver
GnarlySpringHer28
KNOW your body!!! Research ANYTHING your Dr. 'diagnoses' you with AND any 'medications' you're prescribed. Doctors aren't God. They are human, and like all humans, can make mistakes. If you truly want to be healthy, you've got to RESEARCH and INFORM yourself. The wrong diagnosis or drug could mess you up PERMANENTLY. YOU take care of YOU. I'm speaking from experience...

Just think of hepatitis and this should have been an easy one.

sharonmallory, My brother died of cirrhosis of the liver. He was a very unhappy man.He died when he was50 years old.He literally drank himself to death with alcohol. It was very sad,it hurt my mother terribly. My mother was the one who found him dead.He was her only son.Children shouldn't die before thier parents. It was a very sad funeral.

The liver, a necessary human organ “fell out of favor”.....But luckily was able to reestablish its image after a time. I’m thinking the author here may have been watching too much TMZ !

The liver is the largest internal organ, second to only the integument, the skin, which isn't in the body, but on the body.
Tanya
The liver can regrow itself partially.

They don't mention that the liver can heal itself & actually regrow! It's amazing that a person with a healthy liver can donate a piece to someone in liver failure & both persons liver will mend itself!

The liver can regenerate itself, and can be donated by a living person. A year later, the dissected part has all grown back, and you've given someone life.
Jackie
GnarlySpringHer28, it's because they "practice" medicine that I always do my research. I should have done my research on my husband's meds but I didn't know what Dr gave him till he had already taken one. it can take as little as one flipping 💊 pill. my husband got cervical dystonia from 2 pills taken together he has been disabled ever since. the Dr who gave it to him was filling in for my husband's Dr. that guy quit within one week of giving my husband the med. (it took 5 years till his disability was approved we lived off my disability money for that period of time. if it wasn't for the food bank that we could go to once a month and lots and lots and lots of beans we wouldn't have made it. you gotta do what you gotta do. if life gives you lemons make lemonade (and lots of beans) on a practical note we always had plenty of gas for our truck 🤭🤭

Always have your pharmacist read you your prescription and then verify it matches the label on the your pill bottle. I was a nurse for years and have seen many mistakes. The worst was an order for percocet:take 4 -6 tabs every 1 to 2 hours. most people know that isnt normal and the numbers were transverse. but the elderly lady didnt. thankfully it was caught in time!!
