Its also referred to as " the Nati" or The Flying Pig City". We locals do call it "Cincy" or the "Queen City". It was originally named "Losantiville", meaning " the city across from the river", I believe. There is a street with that name in one of its nicest neighborhoods, Pleasant Ridge. Atlanta used to be referred to as our "twin city". Idk if it still is. We had the same stadium as them when we had Riverfront Stadium. We are famous for the 1st pro baseball team, the 1st pro firefighters, Proctor and Gamble, GE, The Cincinnati Zoo, Skyline Chili, Greaters Icecream, and LaRosa's Pizza.

I always enjoyed the view of Cincinnati coming from Kentucky. If I remember correctly, on an interstate one tops a hill and the city is laid out before you.

Seattle is also often called the city if seven hills, although as it's grown other hills have become a part of the city. The hills are First, Cherry, Capitol, Yesler, Queen Anne, Beacon, and Denny, which was sluiced with water until it was level (the c. 1910 Denny Degrade). Others that are now a part of Seattle are Crown, West Seattle, Magnolia, and Mt Baker--the hill, not the mountain.

Cage, I love my hometown. Lived in Germany for 2 years and it was a lot like Cincinnati. However if I had the money I would live in San Francisco, but sure would miss my hometown foods!

Mrs B, you would not like the San Francisco of 2023. Many beautiful parts of it are now slums.

I had no idea that Cincinnati was called that - but the other 3 answers were southern cities.

Mrs B, I LOVE Skyline Chili, though I've never been to Cincinnati. My sister's family lived in Columbus.
