It’s doubtful many Woodstock attendees would have appreciated Miles Davis. He could be self absorbed at times completely ignoring his audience even turning his back on them. Miles in the muck rain and mud. Oh I think not.

I didn't know that Melanie had played at Woodstock, or all of the songs she did during her career. I just remember "Brand New Key" which she did some time later. It was a cute number she wrote in 15 minutes as a fun little novelty tune, but it reached #1 on the charts. She denied it was meant as the sexual innuendo some listeners thought it was.
