i didn't play golf until i was 18...took a p.e. class in college: beginning golf and i fell in like with the game ever since...just turned 62 and i haven't played in a while...maybe i'll rent a club and hit some golfballs👍

Improve aerodynamics was the goal, but I think all other answers are acceptable, it's for sure it has a better grip, probably better mechanical resistance, and also better look.
