We visited Rome and surrounding areas when our son and his family were stationed near Pisa. Italy was absolutely gorgeous! We didn't make it to Vatican City and I think that makes a great excuse to go back. Don't you agree? 😁

peace David. parents visited Italy years ago and loved it. Venice and the gondolas were my moms favorite. they also saw the SIstine chapel which was gorgeous. you had to look up to see the ceiling so it was a little difficult without getting a stiff neck.
