Many premature babies are born with jaundice. Its scary for parents. My son was born 2 Mon the premature.I had enough to worry about. Then he got jaundice a few days after being born.He is 24. years old now and perfectly normal. I thank God for this He online weighed 3 and a half pound s at birth.I had an at risk pregnancy that's why he was born early.

unicorn54, My first son was born with an under developed liver. That causes jaundice. I learned to help him drink and he had his eyes covered and was put in the sun to help his liver mature. He is 42, over 6 feet tall, bright and handsome - and a chef with his own restaurant in the capital city of NZ.

mosquitoes scare me. such disease carriers. I use Lemongrass oil to repel them. Much safer than chemicals and it smells good. Essential oils are my friends

skippadd, they are a necessary life in the whole of the ecological system ... we also are dirty-living organisms one might say a pestilence, a blight upon the earth. Our great mother, she can survive with us but alas we cannot without her.

I'm from Brandon Manitoba. Now if uve never been to Manitoba, ur not missing much. But if u go there in the summer time, mosquitos overtake the land. The mosquito is Manitoba's provincial bird. If I'm wrong about that, it really should be the provincial bird lol. Each summer people catch dragon flies and then release them by the hundreds of thousands just to get rid of the mosquitos. it's quite the site. This happens near the end of August when the mosquitos are rampid cuz they are out for a blood hunt before they die out come winter.

skippadd, I don't think dirt has much to do with the disease. The presence of water in the area might have more effect on the disease, IMO.

A, since I live in the US and they swarm every summer, I have to contest your statement. The disease may be more prevalent but mosquitoes are abundant many places. I believe that a certain state has it as the state bird.
