I'm in coastal Virginia and see them all the time from spring to fall. They are very protective of their nest. My company has equipment on utility poles and grain elevators where they like to nest. They will try to drop sticks on me when I'm working on the equipment at the bottom.

Ospreys are all over the lakes where my dad fishes in South Carolina. You can see them nesting, feeding babies, catching fish, etc. really close up. Such beautiful, majestic creatures to watch in their natural habitat!

Seattle Seahawks have an osprey as the bird that flies into the stadium during home games. There's actually no such bird as a seahawk.....I don't think there is anyway.
