Sherri, My sister suffers with Fibromyalgia and it breaks my heart to see her in so much pain. Sometimes she is in so much pain the only thing she can do is cry. My heart goes out to anyone who suffers with this disease. GOD bless you all.

Sherri, I am so sorry for you and all others who have this dreaded condition. My mother had PMR (polymyalgia rheumatic) for the last 10 years of her life and I knew her misery and how it drastically changes your life. And to those of you who are complaining about the "whining", it's just information being shared. Be patient, for you could be next. I do hope there's a cure soon for everyone...💕🌹

AffableSamurai25670, it always sounds like a good idea, but my fibromyalgia sometimes makes my skin sore just to touch, and the one time I had a massage I was left with bruising pain all over for a week or more 😔

Sherri, one of my ex best friends, who also shares the same name Sherri has it too. It's more common than most people realize. It's a difficult one to manage, the pain clinics can only do so much. I have myalgia which can be bad enough but it's a lot milder. I can't begin to imagine how a person with Fibromyalgia is going through.

Larone 0, Have you tried Lyrica. i had a massive flair up after a fall. The n.p. put me on 150 mg. twice a day rather than 100 mg. Talk about an improvement. With that and a month long rest from work I no longer have much pain at all. It's gone from a 10+ down to a 1. Three to four is a bit more than a constant nagging toothache and it's time for a major pain pill at 6.

I too have fibromyalgia and Sjogrens Syndrome and I am so sick of medication. Nothing seems to work? The Rheumatologist put me on Humira injections and Plaquenil tabs, I had to stop taking because the pain actually got worse. I understand how you feel... gentle hugs to all

Laudinum, It's both. But mainly food. People are eating large quantities of processed foods with toxic additives like vegetable oils, corn syrups, soy ingredients, and giant amounts of sugar. Not only does this affect your own body throughout your life, this poor nutrition affects offspring. Those who eat unhealthy (which is most people) pass along poor genetics to their children, who also eat unhealthy, and have even less healthy children, etc. until most people suffer from debilitating conditions. Eat non-processed, real foods (lightly cooked pasture raised meats, organic, fresh fruits and veggies, and water) and you will feel better.

JesusJewel1, Diets that are rich in antioxidants and provide adequate amounts of nutrients such as vitamin B12 can help lead to reduced symptoms. Also all fried foods and all vegetable oils are horrible for everyone's health but they are especially detrimental to those with Fibromyalgia. They are notoriously high in Omega 6's, which are inflammatory lipids and will increase muscle aches and pain. What you eat affects everything. If you stick to a diet of mainly high quality meats - mostly grass fed beef - and small amounts of fresh, organic fruits and veggies, you will experience a drastic decrease in pain and inflammation and feel a relief from crippling immobility. Much love, and please take care - a nutritionist.

Shark Asylum 1962, I gave up caffeine, no coffee, tea absolutely no sodas and I gave fried fatty foods and I still have pain just beneath the surface. and I just move or someone touches me and I want too cry. In my experience with fibromyalgia food isn't the problem.

Player #2719926, I am a sufferer of fibromyalgia and I too, like your daughter, cannot take anything for the pain because of everything else that I have and also medication has an opposite effect instead of helping. My heart goes out to her and everyone else who suffers with this awful disease/condition. It really is life changing and I sometimes feel such an outcast as it causes depression too

ATxpos, Those who are fit & well have a clue what agony fibromyalgia is - they name it a type of arthritis now along with gout RA and Osteo and I unfortunately have the lot take 14 pills each morning followed by another 4 - 6 painkillers about 1 - 2pm and yet nothing really touches it. Not morphine anyway …
