Gia, i have a little Midget too!!! she is a rescue from a pit bull ring that was dying when my fiance found her, covered in ticks, hardly any hair... i cried when i saw her at first..then took her home picked all the ticks off of her, took her to the emergency vet and three years later she is going strong and right here with me now. she looks at me everyday as to say thank you for saving me and i look back at her and think, No, you saved me in more ways then one....

Angel and Harley you are so right. We can destroy a species just as easily as we can create one. AND we can just as easily send a human culture into oblivion. Hitler tried with the Jews, "ethnic cleansing" is still being used today, and just look at all the cultures of the Americas that no longer exist. I wouldn't want it to happen to any humans any more than to man's best friend, which ever breed we are talking about.

I have came into contact with many pitbulls and they are the most loving dog. My Grandson is a pitbull. He is very laid back and easy going. Let's the 1 yr old sit on him, hug him, kiss him, pull his ears, take his bone. I love that dog as much as I love my family. He is my heart.

I agree dogs are beautiful loving creatures that care for us as much as we car for them. It is the owners or breeders that make a dog turn on other animals or people.

Player #185561, yeah its true. i admit it and am guilty of this but not in a bad way, only to better the quality of the breed i raised which was the mini Dachshund. I always made sure my dogs went to good homes and i even rescued Dachshunds of all shapes and sizes and infermities and challenges and saved as many as i could, other dogs to, and cats and horses and other of Gods unwanted and unloved. I who was not blessed with children due to a selfish and lying now ex husband, my animals became my children and gave me so much joy.

HarleyMidgeyMom95., I'm sorry but that's what ALL breeders say. I love them so much that I did it to better the quality! I love ALL animals and have had purchased pedigrees and they all suffered genetic mutations and disability. I actually had to euthanize one of them, at just over a year old, because he became the most viscous puppy! My vet and I worked with him, for months, before taking that step. Now we're making designer babies. Where does it end?

HarleyMidgeyMom95., I got 2 rescue dogs, both special needs. Lilly,#5, thinks she's the alpha. Squirrels come up to the door to get her to come out to play. Her sister, Moxie, is a bit younger but 5× heavier. She was found with one eye popped out of the socket. it had been out too long to be saved. Her remaining eye has "no light sensitivity", according to the vet. Both use a ramp to get on/off the porch. it has a fence on either side so Moxie won't fall off.

HarleyMidgeyMom95., I love your story. I've made friends with many dogs, even some which are tied up in yards and all they want to do is bark at passers by. I love dogs more than most I do people I have met.

I'm a dog trainer. I train, show and compete in dog sports with some of my dogs. I also train dogs for veterans with disabilities. Dogs are amazing creatures and we are better people when we have at least one as a companion.

very few dogs are bad. nearly all are raised to be bad by mistreatment, neglect, and straight out abuse. i dont own any pits, but the bads ones are because of mistreatment and abuse. the humans that treat animals this way are pathetic and should be put down, not the dog.

HarleyMidgeyMom95., that's beautiful what a touching story. I have a thirteen year old I got him as a rescue dog when he was six months old. I alway had rescue dogs from an early age. That was heart warming reading that I know it's a few years old but I've been playing a little while. You and your partner deserves a medal...

not a good idea to leave any dog alone with very young children. it is impossible to know for sure what can trigger a dog to attack or bite. i rescue dogs _ all sorts but underneath the surface is slways a wild animal. just the same as humans. respect both ways is the safest road.
