Which two states does Death Valley National Park span?

I once saw a cowboy who had been shot and left in Death Valley. His body was found in the 1900's and he was mummified and dried, with all of his features and clothing intact

that must have been very unique and cool to see

Been there a few times. It's lovely in It's own way but I grew up in Vegas so the desert, however striking, holds little appeal for me.
