Lived in Alaska where there were more than in most places in the U.S because of it's vastness and not as much farming using pesticides.. they've made a great come back. Very common to see 25-30? perched around docks when boats come in to feast on the scraps. Truly a beautiful and majestic bird!

Grew up in Tampa Bay in the 70’s, when the bald eagle status was “endangered”. Dad used to pile us in the car on Sundays, and drive through War Veterans Park to see an actual bald eagle that had a huge nest at the top of a tall dead tree. All cars stopped on that section of road, to just gaze in awe at such a sight! I think dad told us there were only a few hundred left , so we should never forget how fortunate we were to actually be in the presence of one in the wild. Amazing stuff 👍🏼
