my brother hitch-hiked from Boulder Colorado to attend (all the way in a pair of Birkenstocks!) he brought me back a tshirt, purple with the woodstock "logo" on it..the logo was a guitar neck with a little yellow birdie perched upon the headstock. Peace to all. 🐥

Player #2302284
To me he is greatest guitarist. He could do things with the guitar like nobody. Way before they had the equipment of today

Jimi Hendrix version of "The Star Spangled Banner" was & still is the best instrumental version ever done!!

Blackdove67
He was the best, another star lost at a young age, tragic waste of such a talent

Player #1005159

MonaLou, Don't miss Whitney Houston at the Miami Superbowl. It's the best I've ever heard.

Mr_Have_Fun
tokenboom0109, I read they invited Roy Rogers, the old TV Cowboy show (Happy Trails Again) But he refused because he thought Woodstock would tarnish his reputation.

Sis
tokenboom0109, LUCKY YOU 👏

Hendrix at Woodstock and Marvin Gaye at the NBA all-star game, two of the best versions of the Star Spangled Banner ever!!!!!

Guessed and I was right! One of the greatest guitarists ever. Missed Woodstock, but there at Watkins Glen. Oh boy wow, the fun I had there - and that's totally separated from the music. Let me just say I LOVE Hippies!!

scutler, love watching YouTube version of Santanas Soul Sacrifice from Woodstock. Carlos was so high he said his guitar became a snake he had to wrestle while he played. I think he got the acid from Jerry Garcia from the Grateful Dead. He beat the snake lol.

Rich man poor man
Wonder, How much did Santana get?

Woman on Fire
crazy darn fool !, There were lefties out there but rare and expensive. A blues singer by the name of Albert King was in England at the same time as Hendrix and he too was a lefty. He taught him how to play a right handed guitar upside down. If you listen closely to both of them play, you can hear that they pluck the strings rather than strum. I’m a blues fan and learned this by reading about Albert King. Great blues player. Look him up and all the other players that gave us Rock and Roll!

Joey, I wanted desperately to go, but I was only 13 that summer. Told my mom I was going to hitchhike to NY and she almost slapped me.

Jevo
Hendrix was one of the greatest guitarists the world has ever known. He, Slash (Guns and Roses) and Brian May (Queen) are the top 3 in my opinion

Only 400,000? At least a million have claimed to have been there. "stay classy" 's brother was smart enough to have bought proof. Bet someone would pay big bucks for that t-shirt today.
