my mother took in foster kids when I was young, one 2 year old was so cute, Catherine, we combed her unruly bangs straight up, with a barret, then we nicknamed her Pebbles, because she was cute with hair standing straight up, we had to give her back when her mother quit drinking, right after momma bought her Christmas gifts, so sad of a memory, back in 1972.
