Guillermo Jr., somewhere in Europe in the middle ages(?) more than 100 people were killed by what some people thought was a wolf giving rise to the belief in werewolves. Turns out some rich, eccentric man had brought a hyena from Africa and set it loose in the countryside of France(?). A hyena's bite can break bones.

I saw them up close at the Singapore Zoo. They are huge and scary, despite movies showing them as weak scavengers!
