Rain Man was released 32 years ago so they hadn't had a major crash THEN, my mum was actually on QANTAS first major crash when it over-ran Bangcock Runway and into a Gold Course, I think that was 1999.

Founded in 1920 as Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services (QANTAS). It has an excellent safety record and is one of the safest airlines in the world.

Player #9973179, wrong, their own website says AERIAL service

CarmSanser, kangaroo never had a *deadly* jet crash . ( piston engine airplanes different story, especially those in ww2 service .... ). almost did. a 747 skidded over the end of the runway, somewhat injurious to passengers mental health.... could yet turn deadly perhaps ? .. Singapore engine explosion was in an airbus which has the best autopiloting for use in the emergency.... Compare the Sioux crash which was deadly ... and was totally manual control ..thus subject to human errors, slow reaction time , overaction ,inaction ...

Ironstine
but yes it's only QANTAS . the extra bit "airways limited" , is just a technicality of the current companies full name ,which has to keep changing with ownership and business model , as company names have to be unique .. might as well be version numbers ..

Ironstine
it's quite definitely Queensland and Northern Territory AERIAL Service.
