Used to work on the Smurfs production in the ink & paint department for Hanna-Barbera in the days when animation "cels" were painted by hand. It was a great job!

I live not far from the village in Spain which was used in the film and the houses were specially painted in blue! The villagers were against the painting of the houses by even after the Film Company said they would paint them white again when filming finished. However they have received so many visitors in the quiet village it is now a transformed village and they are very happy with the blue colour!
