O- here but also CMV neg, which makes me a very rare donater, my blood is always used within days of giving and goes to either neo-natal or immune compromised patients. Give as often as possible, almost upto 50 donations.

A RH- mother body will form anti-bodies to kill her baby if its blood is + and must receive a shot to prevent this from happening. FYI

Yolanda62, yes this happened to my daughter and I. I am ab - and she is ab +. my blood acted like she was a disease and forced me to give birth 2 months early. very serious and deadly thing.

Taimis@Luka❤, My mom was A+ & dad was O+ but my sister & I are AO+ since we got an A from mom & an O from dad. I don’t know if mom is an AO+ or an AA+ so every one gets a gene from each parent. Her parents came from Denmark & Moravia but both of dad’s parents were from Germany. Don’t know how much ethnicity has on blood type.

Also become an organ donor, if you can. Several of my friends have been saved by transplant surgery. Dad AB+, Mum O+, Brother A+ and I am B+. Have donated blood in the past, but had cancer and am waiting to see if I can donate again.
