Amazing! Sickly as a child, withstanding being shot in the chest. So two of Mount Rushmore were definitely shot, Washington must have been shot at during Revolutionary War, only Jefferson managed to avoid being fired upon.

So many interesting things have happened in our history that we don't know about unless we read a lot of books written by a multitude of people. No way to teach it all in school. This is why this game is so fantastic. I learn so much every day.

Wow! This is a great telling of an event which could have ended in tragedy. Obviously, to me anyway, the prepared speech slowing the bullet is what saved his life. A spirit (remember, God is spirit) whispered to put the speech within his shirt or buttoned jacket knowing the spirit of the world be assassin's intent. It could be phrased as: God sent an angel to save his life. I'm applauding the courage of the man to speak for an hour.

Seems God made sure he would continue on to save the Lord's good earth through enacting lands to be preserved for national parks and other ventures outside of that.
