The novel was fantastic with its detail & its description, as was the movie. Of course there's more I could add but I'll think about it tomorrow

"Pansy" O'Hara just doesn't have the same appeal. So glad they changed it!

MikaylaSunrise1967, And it was rejected by umpteen publishers before it was finally accepted. by one. Makes one wonder how many other great novels have never made it into print.

Player #685845, only one real story from Margaret Mitchell. The other stories were nit written by Mitchell and is a waste of time to read. Scarlet had red glints or highlights in her hair and not really black.

I loved both movies. I'm glad someone had the courage to write Scarlet. whoever did the casting did a excellent job of making the characters from Gone with the Wind come to life again in Scarlet. Both women who played Katie Scarlet O'Hara did and outstanding and equally as beautiful as Vivien Leigh played our younger spoiled child Scarlet. if you haven't seen the second story of Gone with the Wind "Scarlett" I purchased mine from Movie's Unlimted. it was actually cheap with it being a miniseries.

So she was 15-16 when she met Rhett Butler? Hmm, kinda young, no?
