I saw the play years ago at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles live with my husband and Rex Harrison played Professor Henry Higgins. It was one of his last performances. It was wonderful.

There is an episode of Gilligan's Island where they castaways were putting on a play and Maryann was playing the part. So funny when she's saying in a Cockney accent, "He taught me to talk, he taught walk, he made me a regular lady, he did.

Audrey's singing was dubbed. I heard her original vocals. They encapsulated the vulnerability of her character and should have been retained. the dubbed vocals were too polished.

I played Henry Higgins in an amateur production of Pygmalion. I discovered during my research that the author of the play was very unhappy about the ending to the film. Typical of Hollywood to ruin a perfectly good ending. I've never seen the musical.

Before I saw My Fair Lady as a kid, I first saw The King and I. Before Lerner & Loewe, there was Rodgers & Hammerstein. Such great names in American Broadway musicals the world cannot forget.

Player lintynubela, Hepburn couldn't sing and had to be dubbed. The film role should have gone to Julie Andrews who had already played it magnificently on stage.
