Why history interest me so much is lessons like these were not taught to us. A passion for reading has helped me enlarge my work view.

Amazing story of betrayal of ones own country, that was fighting hard for freedom. The French. Resistance was so strong, during WWII, I find it sad that a French woman would totally betray her own country. While her story might make a good movie, I do not believe her memory deserves glorification. There are countless heroes from WWII, whose lives deserve being remembered.

This should be a movies someone needs to direct a movie so others can know about what happened to her.So much history is not in the books taught to our children in these schools it is so sad to not get the truth of the real thing that happened in life.

My history lessons started with SPQR (Roman empire), continued through to the start of the 20th century... then stopped dead! "Too close in time" we were told. Then "The world at war" was broadcast, which made the school's position seem really daft.

I think French history would only be taught in French schools. so unless you are French, why would you be taught this?

Player #Annak, there are so many things that are not taught in school. It requires a person with a passion for learning to take the foundation they get in school and build from there. Unfortunately too many teachers make students learn the dates and places, as well as vocabulary, so history is considered boring and does not matter today. What they and their teachers don’t realize is that history is a living organism. Look at today’s headlines about China, Russia, the Middle East, and the good old USA, and you see today what you learn about yesterday. It’s a shame more people are not aware of how closely today’s world mirrors years ago.

Player Dawn , unfortunately with the way things are going history is being erased because x and y don't like it. If we don't learn from history then we're doomed to repeat it. If some parts of history upsets a few then that's OK let's just erase it. That'll make things better. Or better still add some stuff that didn't exist because we want it to. Humanity as a species is devolving at an alarming rate.

I like that her body wasn't claimed. Forgotten in death and forgotten in history is what she deserved. The pain she helped to inflict on her countrymen and country by the occupation of France is just too horrible.
