Can you imagine that magnitude of mistakes people would make without the knowledge of the past to guide them?

#1:: The Nazis were not in power in the 20s.#2:: Ford was Antisemitic the Dodge Brothers who were Jewish built all the main components for the Model-T. When Ford found out they were Jews he wanted them fired,It turns out the Dodge's bought a lot of stock into Ford Motor Company. Ford had to buy them out, With that buy out they opened their own company Dodge Brothers.

nimblemoon, Hear! Hear! Thank you! What escaped Ford in his thinking is the fact that the "today" he refers to becomes "history" the moment the clock strikes midnight. To live in & for the present, with no eye toward the past & the future, is foolhardy. Lessons of the past tempered with direction for the future is what the "present" should be about.

The purpose of history. Learn from other people's mistakes. Did it work? Did it do good for the world? If the answers are yes, go ahead. If the answer are no, stop. At least consider which parts worked and change the parts that don't.
