Diver Dan, you gotta remember that there are a whole lot of people playing this game who cannot imagine a time when all this digital everything didn't exist, and we actually survived.

I received my first camera at age 10, a German Agfa. I had to set EVERYTHING, including aperture (lens opening), exposure, distance of object, and object speed. When digital cameras first came out, I did not believe they were superior to manual cameras. I still use a standard camera, now a Canon, but it does do a couple of things automatically. My older (2013) phone takes great photos with or without adjustments, but I still like my Canon for standard shots. Creative Dinosaur 1945

the camera in the picture is a rangefinder or Mirrorless camera. SLR generally refers to a film camera, DSLR to a digital version. SLRs do have a shutter lag, high end Mirrorless cameras are faster. most cameras these days have 18mb plus (and this comment will go out of date as fast as the original text) Mirrorless cameras now have interchangeable lenses and resolutions as high as DSLRs. bu
