I miss the old SNL. We used to have SNL watch parties because it was funny and a show not to be missed. Today's cast and comedic effort fall short of what it once was.

Carlin was comic genius, along with Robin Williams, Chevy Chase, Rich Pryor, Adan Sandler and so many more. SNL was a terrific vehicle for virtual unknowns to springboard their talents and bring laughter to the masses. Today's cast, with few exceptions, is lacklustre and stale. Find the next Radner, Pohler, Carvey, Meyers, Fey, Farley and Farrell. And it's supposed to be LIVE. How come every episode now has some pre-recorded BS crap? More cowbell, bring it on down to Omletteville, Samurai tailor, casual Friday's PLEASE!!!

RoamingSurfer31771, saw Carlin in concert and could not stop laughing. I liked his definition of a freak accident--two freaks in a van hit four freaks in a car!

If they’re all comedians why aren’t any of them smiling?

CharlieHustle, You forgot about Mr. Bill, and TV Funhouse, which were pre-recorded segments in the early seasons. Don’t knock the new cast members; you treasure the old cast members because they were novel for that time.

I am probably the only person in America who has never seen SNL. Yet, I cannot help knowing a lot about the show due to the inescapable cultural osmosis.

too political nowadays. Also racist no matter what color. Haven't watched in two years. Watched from the very first episode.
