Although, I remember him in the role as the Dr., I didn’t recall hearing the nickname. Respectfully, the show was before my time (not by much 🤣). Of course I’ve seen re-runs, I don’t recall ever hearing the name. What I do remember is, the character’s “dad jokes” & cheesy expressions.
