He is the one who taught Asclepius all the secret medicinal powers of the plants thus beginning the science of medicine. Asclepius was the father of Hippocrates, father of modern medicine. I am Greek and I find Greek Mythology is fascinating but so are all mythologies all over the world. They have so many similar themes!
