If you want to keep your eyebrows, put the alcohol in only after you pull your pan off the stove...then put it right back on and tilt slightly to catch the flame.

Was watching MasterChef and Gordon Ramsey taught them how to flambe food....During a challenge, he was talking to a contestant, he was bending over to talk to her....As he was talking to her, she decided to pour the alcohol into the pan, and the flames went up into Gordon Ramsey's eyes....I thought Gordon didn't say to flambe him....

Angela , I've seen Chef Ramsey in Toronto and he's a super nice guy. His TV persona is just for show. In fact in one special Christmas episode he's the complete opposite of him in Hell's Kitchen.
