Didn't know/remember this. Answered "Cheese" 'cause I thought "time for levity".

Have you ever smelled fireworks or a book of burnt matches? Envision two Worlds collide, brimstone and ash, friction and fire and molten rock. Now, one world will bear rain & seas (eventually) washing itself cleaner over time, the other locked in a vacuum with ashen, gritty dust that clings to everything, boots especially. You wear the suit back to your camping tent (Lunar Module) to sleep without a shower.

I answered cheese, only because when I was little I was told they used to believe the moon was made of cheese.

Ok… yes, the astronauts were able to smell the moon dust when they RETURNED to the capsule ( while STILL on the moon) and when they removed their HELMETS, they consequently smelled the moon dust on their boots! Use your brains, folks!🌙🌛🌝
