Teddy Roosevelt was NOT a 'good guy'. Responsible for the U.S. Army genocide/mass-murder in the Philippines during 'our' early, pre-WWII Colinization and occupation of those islands among other very nasty deeds in the Asian-Pacific region which led, directly or indirectly to such things as Japanese hegemony leading to it's (and our?) role in WWII.
