Soleil10001, In simplest terms, the Earth rotates 365.26 times for each revolution around the sun. This is called a solar year. But it isn’t really that simple, mostly because the sun is also moving through space. Hence the 366.26 rotations, which is called a stellar year (or sidereal year).
