Where does the Ragdoll breed of cat originate?

Beautiful cats.

They are not all blue-eyed and white. We had one that was dark brown with green eyes. She was so loving. Her name was Tasha.

Proud Ragdoll owner here, just like the above picture with slightly lighter colour points, grey rather than seal. Lovely and loyal friend (now nearly 17!) and coat very soft. Eyes crystal blue
