Robin Williams was up for an oscar for Best Actor for the movie The Fisher King. He lost to Hannibal Lecter. Robin's acting was sublime and the best I've ever seen. If you haven't seen The Fisher King with Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges, do yourself a huge favor. Every cast member of that movie should have won an oscar for best actor, not to mention that the plot itself is fantastic

I miss him. He was such a fun Loving man and he always made me laugh. my heart brake's knowing he took his life. I will miss him! I know how hard to is to live with depression and things you can't control, as we all must have delt with in our lives.

i saw the ceromony like i always do since i was young and would watch it with my family as we lived in the LA area and loved movies and hollywood. when Robin died at his own hands i was so sad as he trurly was a genius. he did comedy, drama, tragedy, etc.,. he will never know how much he was loved and respected by his fans... we will always miss and love you. He was very versatile in his movies & TV. He could play any part. His stand up was unforgettable, especially in person. He was a wonderful entertainer in all ways, fearless. The day he left the world wept & comedy lost laughter for a while. He did great things as a humanitarian, a philanthropist that not many knew of, or remembered & that is sad. The world became a darker place indeed with his passing.
