I've seen many beautiful corals whilst diving. Many are dying off due to both bleaching, caused by a change in pH levels and coastal storms. I believe that a third of oceanic life lives on our around reefs.

In Australia we are lucky enough to have the Great Barrier Reef, which has many threats: bleaching from global warming and the crown of thorns starfish. There are wonderful people that are trying to regenerate, cultivate and restock areas affected. I just hope it is enough to save this wonder.

Did you notice the range of temperatures they can live in? 70-85°F = not that much. This is why a global temperature change of +/- a few degrees is worrisome.
But, that is if you believe in science and the future of of world.
